3S LIFT Service Lift Enhances Operation and Maintenance Efficiency at Zaragoza Wind Farm, Spain
Zaragoza, one of the five largest cities in Spain, is located on the vital communication line with distinct weather throughout the year and stable wind resources. At this moment, the Canteras Wind Farm Project Phase III is under intense construction. The total installed capacity of the project is 42.7 MW, and seven wind turbines of 6.1 MW are planned to be installed. 3S ladder-guided service lifts are adopted in all of the wind turbines. Each service lift has the rated load of 250 kg and travels at the speed of 18 m/min, and it takes about 5.5 min to reach the top of a 101 m tower. Just in early August, 3S LIFT has successfully installed two sets of service lifts for this project and has provided the training guidance. With the 3S service lifts delivered on site one after another, the operation and maintenance personnel of the Canteras Project will work with the manned lifting equipment, which makes them feel more stable and comfortable.
All wind turbines are expected to be fully put into use by early 2025. At that time, more clean energy will be brought to the local people.
